Since China’s reform and opening up, China’s colleges and universities is introduced in the form of incentive pay wage system for performance appraisal, but because of a shortage of financial input in education, the actual paying of wages for the reward is very limited with the arrival of the popularization of higher education, funds source diversification, self-raised funds of colleges and universities became more and more, for the performance wage system reform in colleges and universities provides the necessary conditions in recent years, higher education according to the requirement of the reform of the income distribution system and institution, since2010, our country institution should fully implement performance salary at the same time, in the process of China’s higher education development by leaps and bounds, the party central committee under the state council to focus on the issue, therefore, to improve the quality of education institution reform of wage system and higher education in our country, So institution wage system reform in our country and under the social background of higher education quality engineering, whether to implement performance salary system of colleges and universities, is related to the institution wage reform smoothly and quality is an important part of engineering construction, and to improve the quality of higher education construction high level teachers fully arouse the enthusiasm of the teachers’ work, and stimulate the creativity of the teachers, etc., all has the very vital significance but the has its particularity compared with other institutions, colleges and universities teacher performance salary system reform in the process of pushing did not achieve the desired effect, lead to this becomes a reality of social problems, and cause the extensive concern of the society from all walks of life.These problems caused the wide attention of society and highly valued.In this paper, on the basis of predecessors’ research, through investigating the16institutions of higher learning, from the pedagogy, economics, education, economics and psychology and other disciplines perspective, through the methods of questionnaire, interview and case analysis to complete data collection, and data for the processing of qualitative and quantitative analysis, in line with the principle of combining theory with practice, the above problem has carried on the comprehensive and in-depth analysis, and draw lessons from foreign the basic experience of performance wage system reform, and puts forward Suggestions for perfecting the performance wage system reform in colleges and universities.According to the above ideas, discusses the full text is divided into five parts:The first chapter is introduction, mainly introduced the problems of study, the literature review of related research at home and abroad, analyze the present situation of research on defining the relevant concepts, research methods and basic ideas of this study are put forward.The second chapter mainly elaborates the theoretical basis for the reform of college teachers’ performance salary system.College teachers performance wage theory based on the theory of distribution according to work in the main from economics and management, efficiency wage theory, incentive theory and institutional change theory.This part mainly explains the above theory for college teachers performance wage system reform to lay the theoretical foundation and guiding significance of reality.The third chapter mainly introduces the process of college teachers performance wage system reform in our country and related content.Under the special national conditions and the specific historical background, college teachers performance wage system reform has experienced a long developing process, the relevant content of reform involved in different periods also is more complicated.The fourth chapter mainly aimed at our country university teacher performance salary system reform in the existing problems and the reasons were analyzed.In recent years, the performance wage system has various universities in our country are
