Study On The Population Ageing Of Hanzhong City

Hanzhong City locates in the southwest of Shaanxi Province, which belongs to thethe less developed regions of West, facing a more serious aging population in the case ofeconomic development lags behind.The sixth national census shows that the elderly aged65and above accounted for the proportion of total population10.7%in HanzhongCity,which is the most "old" city of Shaanxi Province, and its aging population is2.2and1.8percentage more higher than Shaanxi Province and the national respectively on thecorresponding time period. Population aging already became a very important factorimpacting the social and economic development of Hanzhong City,in order to promotesustained and rapid economic development, early response to the many effects of an agingpopulation is particularly important.This paper was guided by the theoretical of practical demography, Demographiceconomics, regional economics, statistics, sociology, and administrativemanagement,based on the collection, collation and analysis of the census data, statisticaldata and related research data,studied the aging population in Hanzhoung city throughcombining normative research and empirical research, qualitative and quantitative research,as well as the descriptive analysis, comparative analysis and case analysis and othermethods.This paper studied the problem of population aging in Hanzhong City, following thebasic ideas that "Situation-Problem-Strategies".When analysis the status quo,dividedpopulation development process of Hanzhong cityis into six stages since the founding ofthe new China, summarized out of "an accelerated, two advanced, three increased"as thethe population aging characteristics reflected by the sixth census of Hanzhong,as well asmultiple perspectives comparatived Hanzhong City with Shaanxi Province and china,surrounding cities,as well as county district of the aging population situation, we can seethat the birth rate of Hanzhong City stabilized at a low leve for a long time and due to thegrowing number of migrant workers, the city’s resident population less than the householdpopulation of nearly400,000together resulted grim situation of population aging inHanzhong City.After obtained the qualitative understanding of the trend of population aging inHanzhong through analysis, used the international population projections Software PADIS-INT predicts on population aging trends (2010-2030) of Hanzhong,also assessedthat the predicted results with high reliability and reference value, so as to reflect on theproblem of population aging Hanzhong provides proactive countermeasures understanding.Before the proposal of making positive response to the problem of an agingpopulation in Hanzhong City,this paper discussed the aging population problems indetail,selecting two in terms of economic and social.Finally, based on the actual Hanzhong City, around the stage that solve theold"pension" as the main policy priorities，proposed five countermeasures to response thepopulation aging issues in Hanzhong with the "meso" and public policy perspective, that is,strengthening government leadership role， accelerating the development of pensionservices，promoting respect old culture vigorously,building livable urban for older activelyand focus on strengthening the work of rural endowment.
