Today, with the teachers’ professional development becoming the main trend of teachereducation, educational technology, as part of teachers’ basic ability is getting more and moreattention. In November2010, the United States issued “National Educational TechnologyPlan”, proposing to use the advanced technical support to change the original way ofevaluation, it gives the hint to the reform of evaluation methods about Modern EducationalTechnology public course in China.The main teaching objective of Modern Educational Technology public course is to trainnormal students’ ability of educational technology. The close combination of the curriculumimplementation and teaching and information technology has set forth requirements fornormal students whether to use information technology evaluation in the new period. Thisresearch, on the basis of the theoretical study of the exam theory, item response, the targetevaluation, multiple intelligences, and the findings of the course assessment criteria, in majorNormal universities, formulated evaluation indicators from multiple dimension and developedLAN online evaluation system based on the philosophy of technology and the research ofcompetency standards for educational technology at home and abroad, hoping to providesome references for evaluation of public courses of modern educational technology bytechnical support.The research focused on three parts. First, it is theoretical aspects of research, that is, alot of literature has been read to learn status of evaluation research at home and abroad andthe theoretical basis have been collected. Secondly, evaluation program of modern educationaltechnology public course has been designed according to the analysis of the survey results.Thirdly, the evaluation system for educational technology course has been developed, andsample size of students and teachers in the system was on trial after completion. At the sametime, the feasibility of technical support for modern educational technology evaluation has been proved. This provides certain reference value on reform and development of educationaltechnology courses, particularly in evaluation.
