The Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between Foreign Trade And Economic Growth Under The Environmental Constraint

With the development of the China’s regional foreign trade, the environmental problems become an important factor restricting the development of foreign trade. Under the background of the regional economic growth, this paper has carried on the empirical research about the regional environmental constraints, the relationship between foreign trade and economic development, to find out a solution of the regional environmental protection and the long-term equilibrium relation of foreign trade, as well as to achieve the optimal distribution of the country’s resource.Based on relationship between environmental factors and the foreign trade, this paper analyzed the spillover effect.what is more, SBM approach was used to study the environmental impact factors in the foreign trade measures. Throughout the result analysis, we can found that most areas of China is in a statement of low efficiency environment, Futhermore, we have tested the kuznets hypothesis of of regional environmental quality. We can see clearly that through the kuznets hypothesis, the relationship between industrial waste water, SO2, and economic growth can be described an inverted u-shaped curve, while industrial solid waste indicated a more complex relationship trend(n-type curve).In analysis of environmental pollution impact of foreign trade, it is found out that,both the industrial wastewater emissions and emissions pollution indicators in the majority areas of China support the pollution haven hypothesis, nevertheless, industrial solid waste indicators, by contrast, do not support this hypothesis, moreover, the results also show that the foreign trade have a great influence on industrial wastewater, and the management of industrial wastewater is generated is relatively difficult. The spatial spillover effect of SO2emissions exists.In this paper,before establishing a model, we processing data using logarithmic scale, furthermore, stationary and cointegration are tested, if the result contented with the hypothesis,we would have set up variable coefficient of empirical model. The results show that there were substantial different influence in the import and export trade in different provinces and cities. Throughout the analysis of the different influence factors, we can find that affect elasticity coefficient is larger in the western region. It can be explained that, in the west is relatively backward area, the environmental restriction of foreign trade growth can rapidly promote the adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure and scale, promote local economic development.On the basis of the empirical analysis on the efficiency of the environmental impact and environmental constraints spatial agglomeration space the correlation study of regional economic growth, when foreign trade integration enhance, the pollution of the environment of regional integration also increased, and the environment gather effect in the western area and the east are,respectively,:high-high concentration and low-low agglomeration.Under the restriction of environmental of foreign trade has a significant positive effect on economic growth, the space coefficientα=0.1%in the significant level. Returned to the eastern, central and western areas respectively, we can find out that the influence exist some differences.Finally, in view of the differences of regional environmental pollution in our country and foreign trade growth, this paper briefly proposed some suggestions in aspects of the realization of the harmonious development of economy and foreign trade, environmental quality, realize green trade. Such as based on the existing technology and scale, the administrative department should increase the investment of environment related scientific research and technology; the government should strengthen supervision and control of environmental policy to more effectively control of environmental pollution; on the basis of comparative advantage, the authorities should adjust the industrial structure of foreign trade to the new environmental protection enterprise; on the premise of environment constraints,the administration should improve the efficiency of foreign trade production and technology level, promote the development of regional economy healthier.
