Research On Anhui Industrial Restructuring In The Context Of Energy Saving

While Anhui Province is in an accelerating process of industrialization, the demand for energy is in the period of rapid growth. Since the control of total energy consumption has become increasingly stringent, energy saving becomes an inevitable choice to achieve fast economic development. Promoting industrial restructuring is not only an important focal point to achieve sustained, rapid, coordinated and healthy development of the economy, but also an important way to promote energy saving. Therefore, it has an very important significance to research industrial restructuring of Anhui province in the context of energy saving.Firstly, the current situation of industrial structure and energy consumption of Anhui province is analysised in this paper. In order to identify problems in the industrial structure, the current energy consumption situation of three industrial sectors is depicted. Secondly, the impact of Anhui industrial structure on energy consumption is analysised with the panel data model, while CCR model of DEA is used to identify the key industries of energy saving by disclosuring their industrial total factor energy efficiency and energy-saving potential. Furthermore, for the purpose of finding out the focal point of industrial restructuring, Malmquist index is used to analyze the trends of energy efficiency. Finally, according to results of empirical analysis, some policy recommendations is proposed to Anhui Industrial restructuring under the background of energy saving.The empirical results show that the secondary industry is the important fields of efficiency improvement, the tertiary industry has still a certain gap compared with the national level, and there is still plenty of room for optimization within each industry. Technical progress is the main driving force to improve the total factor energy efficiency of three industries, and they influence each other. So, Anhui province should adhere to the road of new industrialization, vigorously develop the tertiary industry, optimize the industrial structure, encourage technological innovation, strengthen the foundation of agriculture, coordinate the development of three industries.
