With the coming of knowledge economy, the competitions of technological development and comprehensive national strength depend on the talent, and competition between countries is a talent competition in the final analysis, then the personnel selection system plays a pivotal role in society. Compared to the need for development of higher education in the popular stage, the common entrance examination system has exposed many drawbacks. In order to occupy a place in the fierce international competition, addressing these deficiencies is an important issue facing higher education managers. The first thing we must do is to implement the "open" admissions system which is the basis and prerequisite of higher education.Reform of the college entrance system has been concerned in the whole society for years. Advanced Assessment for Admission organized by the seven well-known universities, as a new exploration of in the form of self-entrance examination, would be beneficial to the healthy development of students, educational quality in primary and secondary schools, the healthy development of colleges and universities and reform process of China’s college entrance system. Due to various reasons, Advanced Assessment for Admission still exist many unreasonable places which inhibit the development and the pace of progress of Advanced Assessment for Admission system.The innovations of this research are to study the new problems in the field of higher education management, research methods with the empirical, date to obtain reliability, the conclusions reflecting the independent thinking. Specifically, beginning with the countermeasures of Advanced Assessment for Admission system, the paper analyzes the current situation of Advanced Assessment for Admission system from the five aspects of test objectives, testing methods, forms of organization, item characteristics and item results. According to the above analysis and combining relevant theories, on the basis of the successful experience of foreign universities and the objective situation, the paper supports some countermeasures on four views, government, university, high school and the student. The purpose is to promote the development and advancement of Advanced Assessment for Admission system.
