The Research On Educating Function Of College Archives

With the deepening reform of college education and innovation education model, archives at colleges and universities are entering a new field on the basis of traditional archives function "storage and usage"."Educating people with archives" has become a hot topic in the research and practice of the ideological and political education. On the basis of research results at home and abroad, we analyzed the characteristics and functions of the college archives education, and studied the situation and problems of the college’s archives education, and expounded the educating function of college archives and its realization approach. In this paper, the research mainly includes the following parts:Firstly, we studied the concept and connotation of the college archives education. Archives of colleges and universities has both the unique culture of library and the concept of cultural heritage, its ideological and moral education, science, culture, education, aesthetic education function can make college students have all-round development of morality, intelligence physique and aesthetic. Many archives in colleges and universities at home and abroad have become the first choice of the moral education base, and adopt various forms to participate in the educational practice.Secondly, we analyzed the characteristics and function of the colleges’ archives education. The intuitive, image, vivid characteristics of college students have a great attraction to college students, and broaden them knowledge and play a positive role to improve students’ ideological and cultural qualities. Archives of colleges and universities play special educating functions in practice teaching, ideological and political education, scientific research activities case, also can adapt the students’ mood, motivate them, and innovate their knowledge.Thirdly, we studied the content and problem of the college’s archives education. Due to the construction of archives and information resources and archives openness are not enough, the transformation of university teachers’ education idea and the guidance of college students’ psychological are also not enough, the social education function of college archives has not been played fully, the development and utilization of the archives value remains to be mining.Fourthly, we researched the implementation approaches of college archives education function. To give full play to the cultivation functions of archives for college students, the author puts forward the realization ways of educating function:(1) to build archives education resources and environment;(2) to strengthen archives the service concept;(3) to establish archives a supervising system;(4) to foster archives educational environment;(5) to create archives practice education platform.
