In the backdrop of the exam-oriented education, students don’t do self evaluation, and self-evaluation ability is low, this kind of situation conflicts with today’s trend ofcurriculum reform. In the context of curriculum reform, the thought political lessonevaluation is moving towards diversification, emphasising on the organic combinationof teacher evaluation、 student evaluation of each other and the self assessment, emphasizing on development、dynamic、comprehensive evaluation, emphasising onthe combination of the selection function、identifying function and the function ofpromoting the development of students. The students’ self assessment not onlyshould put great importance on the raise of "double-base", but slso on emotion、attitude、values. Under the background of quality education, students are required toactive self evaluation, mainly to improve their self-assessment ability、strengthenstudents’ basic knowledge and basic skills, to cultivate the students’ innovation spiritand practice ability, to promote the improvement of students’ overall quality. As themain body of learning, students should play their proper function and role inevaluation. This paper is divided into four chapters altogether, from the following fouraspects, this paper discusses the ideas about self evaluation:The first chapter is the theory overview of the self-assessment ability. Thischapter firstly starts with the concept of evaluation, then introduces the concept of selfevaluation and self evaluation ability, it summarizes the theoretical bases of trainingstudents’ self-assessment ability on this basis, they are the theory of Multipleintelligences、 Constructivism theory、 Postmodern theory、 Taylor theory andMetacognitive theory, and do some corresponding interpretations. Then I introducethe function of self assessment ability, that is oriented function、diagnostic function、feedback function and incentive functions. The second chapter, through the form of questionnaire, I investigate the presentconditions of the current self-evaluation of high school students’ ability, and based onthe analysis of the results, the paper puts forward to the main problems existing in the current high school students self assessment, and I analyze the reasons about theseproblems. Idea is the forerunner of revolution. To improve the students’ ability of selfassessment, and the first of all is to change our ideas, to attach great importance to theself assessment on thought, and under the guidance of teachers, students shouldgradually improve their ability of self-evaluation.The third chapter is mainly to the need of new curriculum reform, it also putsforward some requests on students’ self-evaluation, eventually makes the students’ selfevaluation towards independent evaluation. The fourth chapter propose several principles the self-evaluation ability shouldfollow aimed at the problems existing in the high school students in self assessment inthe first. Then,I puts forward several feasible strategies in view of the problemsexisting in the high school students in self assessment and put forward constructivesuggestions from two aspects of teachers and students. In the view of the teachers, Ithink that teachers should change ideas、 change roles、encourage students more andmore、undertake to the students’ psychological regulations, and teach the studentsspecific measures of self-evaluation. From the point of the students’ view, studentsshould cultivate consciousness of self assessment、set up reasonable evaluationstandards under the guidance of their teachers、 self-assessment should becomprehensively and self-reportedly combined with teachers’ comments andclassmates’comments. At the same time students should learn to do positiveattributions.
