Reading is an important activity in human society life, and is the main means andan important way for students to learn knowledge. With the coming of digital society, mathematics reading is becoming more and more important. Good mathematicsreading habits are the guarantee for successful mathematics reading. But there are fewstudies of mathematics reading habits and no studies about high school students.Based on previous studies, the mathematics reading habits of high school students andthe targeted teaching training strategies are explored. In this paper, the main methods are: questionnaire survey method, interview. The main content is: firstly, by studying the current research on mathematicsreading habits, the main research questions are resolved. Secondly, the definition ofmathematical reading habits is unconscious maths reading behavior formed byrepeated, long-time practice. It is divided into five dimensions: reading frequency, reading content, reading ways, reading attitude and reading environment. I draw arelationship map of them. Divide the habits into good ones and bad ones. Thirdly, questionnaire is worked out. I carry on the questionnaire survey, and use theSPSS17.0to statistics the survey results, analysis the results detailed, get the currentusage situation of the mathematics reading habits of high school students. Fourth, inview of the interview, I find out causes. Lastly, the targeted teaching trainingstrategies are explored. The main conclusions of this study are: high school students have developedsome good mathematics reading habits:1.students pay attention to readingmathematical concepts.2.students can read theory, formula and examplescarefully.3.while reading books, students can make a mark.4.the combination of threekinds of mathematical languages is good for mathematics reading.5.students preferquiet environment. In the meanwhile, students also develop some bad mathematicsreading habits:1.students do not develop preparation and review habits.2.students donot recognize the importance of the knowledge structure.3.students cannot do reading thinking.4.students do not develop the habits of summary.5.students are not good attaking notes.6.students lack reading guide.7.students do not develop good readinghabits, such as the promotion title, question the solution and communicatemethods.8.students have little consciousness to monitor their own mathematicalreading process.9.students read little mathematical books except for textbooks. Finally, according to the results, we put forward to teaching principles tocultivate good mathematics reading habits: the subjectivity principle, level principle, progressive principle and significance principle. strategies are: to strengthen thetraining of students’ mathematics language: the maths symbols, the conversion ofmaths language, analysis of grammatical structure; to pay attention to readingtextbooks: reading demonstration effect, reading outline, timely feedback, key readingof concept, formula, theorem, example; to teach students methods of developing goodmathematics reading habits: take notes, summary, solve problems; to improvestudents’ mathematics reading met cognitive ability: enough time, methods ofdifferent discipline, new teaching method; to combine in-class reading and after-classreading.
