Shandong’s provincial work conference on quality education held in2008advanced our course reform. In2011, our school began the reformon teaching and the teaching mode of “independence, mutual help, andpresentation” took form. Based on my own teaching experience and theunique features of senior geography, I make long-term study on this modeand foster an “independence, mutual help, and presentation” teachingmode that suits senior geography.This article is divided into six parts. The first chapter starts fromintroducing the background of national course reform and analyzes thebackground of the mode by combing the reality of our province and ourschool. Then it introduces the current research on cooperative learningand on the basis of this, it analyzes the value and meaning of this article.The second chapter describes the theoretical basis of the research on thismode and analyzes the feasibility of this mode theoretically. The thirdchapter interprets the mode and defines the mode by analyzing the relationbetween independent learning, explorative learning and cooperativelearning. At the same time it introduces the principle of the design andthe structure of teaching. The fourth chapter starts from talking aboutthe necessity of teaching geography in senior high school and conductingstudies on the teaching value of this mode. And then it puts forward thesalient problem existing in this teaching mode. The fifth chapter liststhe guidance strategy of implementing the mode based on the raisedquestions, including the strategy of preview, the strategy of settinggroups, the strategy of raising questions, and the strategy of in-classpresentation and the strategy of evaluating classes. The sixth chapterbuilds the mode of teaching, revising and evaluating papers based on thecurrent mode research, its theoretical basis and the long-term research. Theories and practices show that the senior geography teaching modeof “independence, mutual help, and presentation” can meet the needs ofcourse reform and corresponds with the features of the senior geography,which is worth promoting. This model really reflects the dominant positionof the students, arouse the students’ enthusiasm, initiative and senseof responsibility, has greatly increased the students say the opportunity,the opportunity to exchange, thinking collision opportunity, opportunityand training opportunities, but also to strengthen the communicationbetween students, between teachers and students, effective improve theteaching quality and efficiency.
