The21st century is witnessing an information age. Integration of information technology and curriculum as a significant part of educational reforms in China cannot be ignored, with the popularization and application of all kinds of new teaching materials, the implementation of new information technology in the chemical teaching also get more attentions. Although now in China, the study of integration of information technology and chemical curriculum has made certain achievements, it merely positions information technology as an assistant teaching instrument for the traditional teaching mode because of people’s different viewpoints on the concept of integration, and the disparities of thoughts, and teaching modes in practice. So it sees a inclination that the original "cramming" teaching just combines more "electric type" teaching, which makes the curriculum integration only wander back and forth on the lower level and fails to meet the requirements of new standard chemistry teaching.In order to effectively promote the integration of information technology and chemistry course, and improve the teaching, it is necessary to combine the information technology in middle school chemistry teaching. The integration might make the chemistry class of junior middle school more diversified and vivid, which will produce more active influences on students" learning process and provide students with a bridge to facilitate the understanding.However, it is not easy to apply a new teaching mode in the process of chemistry teaching, so the teachers and students may take a long time to adapt to this new teaching model and achieve satisfactory effects. We should insistently explore the new method and accumulate experiences and improve teaching under the theoretical guidance of the new curriculum reform, at the same time raise the students’interest in chemistry and actively cultivate the students’innovative consciousness and self-learning ability.In this paper, the author conducted survey based on repeatedly first-hand experiences about the implementation of integration of information technology and chemistry teaching and how to apply the new teaching model in Shanxi rural middle schools. It is hoped that the study will throw light on the integration of information and chemistry teaching. The outlines of the study are as follows:Chapter1:Introduction This chapter covers the background, significance of the topic, the research status at home and abroad as well as research objective and methods.Chapter2:In chapter two it outlines the concept of integration of Information Technology and Curriculum.Chapter3:the problems of integration of information technology and chemistry teachingThis chapter discusses the problems in the integration of information technology and chemistry teaching from the aspects of human and equipment in junior middle school in rural areas.Chapter4:methodology of integration of information technology and chemistry teachingIn this chapter, the problems are discussed in the Shaanxi rural junior middle schools. Considering the reality and financial power of rural Shaanxi schools, some suggestions are proposed.Chapter5:Summary and OutlookThis chapter covers the innovation of this research, limitations, and prospects for the future study.
