The research objects of the thesis are volleyball skills courses in10collegesand universities in Sichuan Province. By mainly using questionnaires, interviews, literature,mathematical statistics and other research methods, the thesis did a research and analyzed presentsituation of professional volleyball courses in Physical Education Major of10colleges anduniversities in Sichuan Province and have a more systematic study. During the study, I browsed alarge number of articles about courses of physical education professional volleyball, and found fewpapers on this. Therefore, this article studies about curriculum design, curriculum implementation,curriculum resources of physical education professional volleyball courses in Sichuan Colleges. Andit analyzed and discussed how volleyball courses adapt to the new situation of teaching reform andemployment expanding.The results show that:(1) The teaching program of professional volleyball course at physicaleducation major in Sichuan Colleges is based on the training program. The program according toschool characteristics only accounted for a small part, does not base on teaching conditions andstudents’ interests and the need to develop teaching programs.(2) On subjects of courses, eachschool set the general course, while seven universities opened specialized Course. Twouniversities not only opened a general course and specialized course but also opened two specialist.Only one school offers optional volleyball courses.(3) the mission and purpose of volleyball skillscurriculum is changing with the change of the curriculum program, in order to adapt to the needs ofsocial progress and development.(4) In the curriculum of professional volleyball courses,teaching hours and time arrangements differ. Hours Distribution is very different. The gapIn General Teaching is not large; while the Specialized Courses opposite. Hours rangebetween236hours and348hours. Courses open in the5-8semester in general. Inhours distribution no matter Common Course or Specialized Course, various collegeteachers put technical, tactical teaching on the important position.(5) Teaching contentprofessional volleyball courses in Sichuan mainly includes theory, tactics and abilitydeveloping.No matter Common Course or Specialized Course, most university teacherstrend to teach technology, and tactics.It has a larger proportion. Theoretical learningand the ability doesn’t get more attention. I found that the Chengdu Institute of PhysicalEducation focus on capacity-building in teaching, such as the assessment of game skills,referee skills, training capacity and organization ability and so on.(6) In theexaminations of professional volleyball courses in Sichuan Colleges, theory tests in theCommon Course and Specialized Course are basically closed book. This method isrelatively simple. Technical examinations use a combination of technical examinationstandards and technology assessment. Proficiency examinations focus on the evaluationof teaching skills and referees value. Capacity evaluation is mainly summative in most colleges and universities, but at Physical Education major of the Chengdu SportsCollege, it is phrased.(7) Teachers are still relatively conservative in teaching methods.Some modern teaching methods are being introduced to Volleyball Teaching.Multimedia in teaching should be given adequate attention in VolleyballTeaching.(8)Students have uneven volleyball basis and are generally poor. Physicalfitness and enthusiasm of sports are also down year by year. The ages of teachers aremore reasonable, mostly middle-aged teachers. They are mainly undergraduates andgraduates. And the title structure is also reasonable.(9) In the teachers’ volleyballcognitive, the lesson preparation of teachers is better, but homework check should bestrengthened. After-school teaching reflection should be actively promoted. In thestudents’ volleyball lesson cognitive, preview is not ideal. Majority of studentscompleted their homework seriously. But after-school study and reflection isn’tgood.To solve these problems, I made the following recommendations:(1) changeteaching ideas and clear teaching objectives.(2) Fully optimize the Volleyballcurriculum and teaching content choices.(3) Constantly improve the examination andevaluation system.(4) Constantly enrich teaching methods and means of volleyballcourses.(5) Pay more attention to the physical fitness of the students.(6) strengthen theteaching staff (7) focus on the selection of teaching materials.
