Through the course of STSE educational philosophy is an important issue of China’s newround of curriculum reform direction. This stud’ys entry point is the penetration in geographyeducation about STSE ideological, and takes the special courses of preventing earthquake andreducing disaster in No.5middle school as an example. Using the method of literature,questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method and action research method, andcombined with local characteristics in Guangzhou area and the school-based curriculum of theschool to develop the STSE curriculum resources and puts forward the strategies of school-basedcurriculum development. The research shows that the previous work of the school-basedcurriculum development is not in place, and the dominant position of the students did not fullyreflect the overall design, and lack of school-based curriculum development so that thedevelopment effect is not ideal. Based on the general theory of school-based curriculum andMonographs on geography, and found out the theoretical basis of the geography school-basedcurriculum development. Established a course plate of "mosaic" and wrote a school-basedcurriculum on "earthquake rely on self-help" to testing the effectiveness of courses, andperfecting the city early research.
