Private Vocational Colleges Academic-practical Teachers Research In The Western Guangdong Province

Based on the investigation and research, we learned that in theWestern Guangdong Province,there are some problems of the teachers’staff construction in private vocational colleges. Such as,the number ofacademic-practical teachers is shortage；the structure is lack of reasonableand the teachers’quality is low.This research aims to analyze the academic-practical teachers staff inthree private vocational colleges,which are Zhaoqing Business andTechnology College，Zhaoqing Science and Technology Polytechnicand Zhanjiang Modem Science Career Technical College. We aim tofind out the existing problems of academic-practical teachers constructionin Western Canton and explore the strategies of academic-practicalteachers‘training. So that we can provide the research materials for theestablishment and training of academic-practical teachers of privatevocational colleges and the basis of policies in Western Canton as well.This research uses three-segments written: raise the questions, analyze theproblems and solve the problems. We firstly put forward the target at theintroduction that the academic-practical teachers should achieve about80%of the teachers’ staff in Guangdong vocational colleges by the end of2015. We definite the concepts of “westenr Guangdong”、“privatevocational college” and “academic-practical teachers"t and analyze the research achievement of the developed countries on vocational collegeseducation, especially the academic-practical teachers staff construction.With the research of Zhaoqing Business and Technology College’Zhaoqing Science and Technology Polytechnic and Zhanjiang ModemScience Career Technical College, we analyze the existing problems ofthe academic-practical teachers in Western Canton, the we find out thecauses of these problems; Finally we put forward the solution of theseproblems: Solution1: To draw up a set of systems of policies andregulations to support Western Canton for academic-practical teachers byGuangdong Province. Solution2: To complete the training system ofacademic-practical teachers in private vocational colleges; Solution3:Topromote the school-enterprise cooperation actively；Solution4: Tostrengthen the system and environment construction of the privatevocational colleges.
