Peace as the common hope of human being has its significant research value at any given era. In the lapsed20th century, the whole human society experienced the great change from wars to peace. The scholars, especially western researchers, devoted on the research of cause, prerequisites and conditions of the transition of this change, which has made people understand the peace better and gave birth to the fairly influencing subject of peace study in the western. Values of peace are not only the main subject of peace research but also the important compositions of middle school students’ emotional altitudes and value education. It is the ultimate goal of their emotional altitudes and value education; hence more attention should be paid to it in the teaching of history course. However, there are still obvious problems, such as strong political awareness and simple narrative in the compilation of history textbooks, which over emphasized the traditional and special culture of our own nation. Therefore, this work focused on the emotional altitudes and values in the history teaching, to analyze the current situation of our nation’s values training in middle school history teaching. This work sorted out the problems, summarizes the useful experience and methods in the peace values training of middle school students in the history teaching at both home and abroad; and hopefully this work will bring some new strategies on the middle school students’ peace value training in teaching of history course.This work consists of four chapters. Chapter1:definition of the concept of peace values. The definition and classification of peace values are given. Chapter2:the history of the value education of peace in china from1949, which describes the evolution and meaning of middle school students’ peace values training in history teaching. We mainly discuss the practical significance of the methods and importance of middle school students’peace values training in history teaching both home and abroad. Chapter3analyzes the current situation of peace values training of middle school history teaching. We analyze and summarize the effectiveness of peace values training in middle school history teaching via surveys. We summarize and recap the methods of peace values training in middle school teaching of history course to found out the main problems and their causes of peace values training in middle school teaching of history course. Chapter4focus on the strategies and evaluations of peace values training of middle school history teaching. We summarize and generalize the problems in peace values training of middle school history teaching mentioned in the previous chapter, and then we propose the corresponding strategies and methods. By giving the effective suggestions to how to develop the middle school students’ value of peace to help students build up the correct value of advocating, loving peace and opposing the violence.
