"Participation", as one of the trend of The Times, caused the positive regard of curriculum implementation and teaching reform in our country today, with the corresponding, the participatory teaching which Advocates the spirit of participation in teaching has also become a new attempt of Curriculum implementation and teaching reform. Participatory teaching can be seen as penetration in each link of the teaching idea, also can be see as available for operation of the teaching mode; It should both comply with the requirements of the quality education, and embody the concept of new curriculum reform; Its implementation poses challenges to the student, also puts forward new requirements to the teachers.The participation of participatory teaching refers to the state that the individual displayed in the group activities.It also means the student as the individual joins to the study activities. This input includes the Emotional input, the Thinking input and the Action input, it is active, not passive.According to the understanding of participation, Participatory teaching can be defined as:a teaching mode which teachers guide students to actively participate in the teaching process.This mode emphasizes Student-centered,and the teachers should create relaxed, happy, equality, interesting and harmonious teaching environment, and design abundant teaching forms to make all students participate in the teaching process.Participatory teaching pay attention to the two-way activity between teachers and students.It emphasizes that the guidance of teachers and the active participation of students,the Participation of students should include thinking, emotion, behavior, it is a comprehensive range of participation rather than unilateral and a single participation. Participatory teaching characteristics can be summarized as six aspects, such as:the democracy of Teaching atmosphere, the bidirectionality of teacher-student relationship,the depth of Require Learner Participation, the comprehensiveness of the teaching goal, the diversity of teaching organization forms and the multitudinousness of the teaching evaluation. When Participatory teaching used in middle school history class,it has their different characteristics,such as:the first, consciousness; the Second, emotionality; the Third, thinking; the Fourth, action.According to the author’s investigation, Participatory teaching has been used in the secondary school history classroom and it has achieved a certain success, while there are also many deficiencies, such as:the participatory consciousness of students is not strong, the participation behavior needs to be trained, and the participatory classroom teaching model needs to be improved and so on.To the end, this article Combines with examples and study from the teaching idea of participatory teaching. About how to cultivate the students’ participation, training the students’ participation behavior, it mainly study from two aspects:Firstly, by changing students’ attitude towards history and stimulating students’learning motivation to cultivate the students’ participatory consciousness; Secondly, by using vivid language to visualize the historical knowledge and designing explore activities to make history class wonderful,Through these to drive students to participate in class and train the students’ participation behavior. About building high school history participatory classroom teaching mode, this article discusses from four aspects:the first, the refined lecture of teachers; the second, the activity design; the third, the discussion among students; the fourth, the evaluation and feedback.
