Xi Jinping emphasized in the symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools hosted on March 18,2019,that the teaching of ideological and political courses should be student-centered and give full play to the subjectivity of students.As a course of moral education for high school students,high school ideology and politics class should not only impart ideological and political theoretical knowledge,but also realize the shaping of students' correct worldview,outlook on life and values,and participatory teaching method promotes the achievement of this goal.The participatory teaching method advocates teachers to change traditional teaching concepts and teaching methods,highlight the main position of students in the classroom,and let teachers and students participate in the classroom together in a tolerant and democratic atmosphere to enhance students' subjectivity and promote their all-round development.Researching the application of participatory teaching method in high school ideology and politics class has certain theoretical and practical significance.At the theoretical level,it can enrich the theoretical study of high school ideology and politics class and deepen the theoretical study of cooperative learning,and at the practical level,it is conducive to transforming the classroom management and creating an efficient ideology and politics classroom.This study uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and observation method,and follows the research idea of what,why and how to study the application of participatory teaching method in high school ideology and politics class.The main body of the thesis consists of four parts: the first part elaborates on the connotation and characteristics of participatory teaching method,the second part explains the significance of the application of participatory teaching method in high school ideology and politics class,i.e.,it is conducive to enhancing students' main position in the ideology and politics classroom,cultivating students' disciplinary core literacy,and building a harmonious teacher-student relationship.The third part analyzes the problems in the application of participatory teaching method in senior high school ideology and politics class.In the application of participatory teaching method in senior high school ideology and politics class,due to the constraints of teachers' teaching concept and their own teaching ability,students' traditional learning style,and the teaching evaluation system under exam-oriented education,there are problems that teachers neglect the design of participatory classroom activities,students' active participation is not high,classroom participation is single and solid,and it is difficult to create a democratic relationship between teachers and students.There are five problems: teachers neglect the design of participatory classroom activities,students' active participation is not high,the classroom participation form is single and solid,it is difficult to create a democratic atmosphere for classroom participation,and the evaluation subject and criteria of participatory teaching are single.The fourth part proposes corresponding countermeasures for the existing problems: teachers should establish advanced teaching concepts,improve teachers' ability to apply participatory teaching methods,use diversified forms of participation to promote students' participation,create a tolerant and democratic classroom atmosphere,and optimize the evaluation system of participatory teaching.By proposing corresponding optimization strategies,we promote the correct use of participatory teaching method in high school ideology and politics class and provide useful references for improving the teaching of high school ideology and politics class.
