Different methods of questionnaire, examinations, observation, oral reports, interviews have been made among95first-level pupils of Shi Sun street Primary School in Chengdu. The purpose is to understand the status of the first-level students’ mathematical calculation ability and their status of metacognitive monitoring learning strategies.Then, enrich students’ learning strategies and monitoring experience, build the Capacity of using metacognitive monitoring learning strategies. Achieve the purpose to improve students’ mathematical calculation ability.Based on this research, some good teaching methods are supposed to be found to help teachers culture the computing power of the first science segment. Train students to find a set of learning strategies for math learning, improve their math ability. In turn, it can lay a good dual basis of the knowledge and strategies for independent mathematics learning for the second section learning.
