Family is the important place for students to grow up both physically and mentally.The author has noticed that different families have different ways of educating childrenin the process of carrying on psychological education in school during recent years.Particularly, with the development of our urbanization, more and more psychologicalhealth problems occurred among the middle school students because of the increasingnumber of peasants who lose land, the change of family formation, and the increasingfamily income. Taking Shuangliu junior high school students as the research object andfrom the point of the change of family formation, especially of the family educationinfluence on students’ psychological health, a research has been carried on251studentsfrom24classes of3grades in this school, in the form of questionnaire and with theassistance of documentary reference, individual interviewing and other methods. Theresearch focuses on the family formation and function, and the relationship concernedthe psychological health. The main conclusions are as below:Firstly, the overall level of mental health of the Shuangliu junior high schoolstudents is not optimistic. There are39.41%of the students with light psychologicalproblems, while5.8%with moderate psychological problems. In general, there are45%of the students with psychological problems. There are no significant differencesbetween male and female students, but girls have more mental health problems thanboys. Still, there are no significant differences among different grades, but there existsapparent difference between Junior Two and Junior Three in obsessive-compulsivedisorder, in the aspects of depression, study pressure, unstable mood and the lack ofadaptation and psychological balance. Secondly, generally speaking, the parentingstyles of the junior school students have positive effect on students. There are nosignificant differences between girls and boys in communication, but not other aspects.There are no significant differences between Junior One and Two, Junior Two andThree in solving problems. Thirdly, parenting style has a clear relationship withstudents’ psychological health, which is directly expressed in the level of theirpsychological health.Based on the statement above, the research is expected to assist development infamily education for junior high school students’ family education, to strengthen thecommunication between schools and families, and to promote the mental health ofjunior high school students through the research on parenting style during urbanizationand the relationship of students’ psychological health.
