Our country has paid more and more attention to the development of the informationtechnology in education with the publication of "Framework of National Medium andLong-term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020)" and "Ten-year DevelopmentPlan of Information-based Education (2011-2020)". The "electronic schoolbag" project wasofficially launched with the rising of "burden reduction". E-textbooks which is a part of it areconcerned at the same time. In order to meet the learning needs of elementary and middleschool students, how to design the e-textbooks as well as make full use of advantages ofhardware facilities is a subject which academics are researching and exploring.This article provide a preliminary study on the current situation of the electronictextbooks development, with the goal of the requirements and recommendations of thecurriculum reform on teaching, under the guidance of the latest education and informationtechnology development planning, with the support of mobile electronic terminal equipments,to meet the needs of teachers and students. The thesis attempts to develop a research ondesigning the teaching process and teaching contents of "Conic Section", taking the trial caseof the iPad tablet computer and other mobile terminal equipment at home and abroad as areference, according to the survey and questionnaire about sophomore teachers and studentsfrom senior high school.This paper was written based on the constructivist theory, the situated cognition theory,the distributed cognition theory and the ubiquitous mobile environment learning theory. Wetry to design a electronic textbooks,taking "Ellipse and Its Standard Equation" as a teachingexample which is from a part of "Conic Section" in the elective textbook of senior highschool, according to the process of ellipse’s definition and ellipse standard equation’sderivation. This textbook can link the teaching background and the dynamic presentation ofteaching graphics. The textbook was designed by six main steps which is raising questions,analyzing problems through cooperation and communication, face-to-face discovery,verifying the conclusions and consolidating the students’ practice. It also have a "self-service"practice after class with analysis of answers and details, students can compare the answersand check the analysis. The author have a deeply reflection and evaluation about this article’sexploration and design when this research was finished, finding that it still have someinsufficient which would be improved in practical teaching application.
