Along with the continuous deepening of our country economic system reform and the implementation of the popularization of higher education, diversified social demands and fierce competition in the employment of university graduates form presently complicated employment environment. Facing the employment difficulty, female university graduates’employment needs should be given full attention as they are vulnerable employment groups. In order to help them obtain the job which meets the employment expectations and the social needs, improve their job satisfaction, realize the rational allocation of human resources, the adaptability of female employment expectation to social demands may be an issue not to be neglected.This paper focus on female undergraduate students in key university as research object, through the survey with questionnaire on300female students of the2012session in three "211Project" Universities in Hubei Province, including China University of Geosciences(Wuhan), Central China Normal University, Central China Agricultural University. And we investigated159units who attending the job fair of the2012session. Then the paper analyzes the present situation of female graduates’employment expectation, social needs, the adjustability between them. Then it shows that female graduates’expectation is realistic. However, there exist contradictions between female employment expectation and social demands. To guide the female students to meet the social demands, the research puts forward seven proposals aiming at the problems:the government should establish the employment information service system and feedback information timely; Female graduates should pay attention to career planning; the government should strengthen the legal regulations and system construction and curb the behavior of sex discrimination; the employer must face up to the value of women and gradually equally treat female employment; the society should evaluate the female university graduates and provide tolerant public opinion environment; parents and female university graduates should change their concept of employment; the key universities should carry out a comprehensive career planning education and enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education. This thesis consists of six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. This part includes the main content of the problem, the research goal and the significance, research object and research methods, research ideas. This section defines the female graduates’employment expectation, social demands and adaptability. The second chapter is the research foundation. It emphatically analyzes the status of domestic and international research. sums up the problems in current research and development trend. The characteristics and factors theory, development theory, two dual labor market theory and reconstruction theory are used to prove the female students’ employment expectation ought to adjust the social needs.The third chapter is the empirical analysis of female graduates’ employment expectations that existed before according to the results of the questionnaire survey. First, the specific desired content of female students is empirically analyzed, including the expectations to starting salary, the expectations to place of work, the expectations to the unit class, expectations to job category. Then their employment value orientation is analyzed, including their own employment outlook, main approach of obtaining employment information, the view on "professional counterparts", factors taken seriously in the process of choosing job.Based on the results of questionnaire survey to the employing units, the fourth chapter analyzes the demands of country grass-roots employment project and the other employers demand for female employer. First, based on the development demand of socialist construction, this part illustrates China’s special requirements for the employment of college students through the analysis of the four college student project status. Then, this part analyzed the investigation results for the demand of employing units, expounds the employing units’quantity demand to female graduates and the development trend. Then the requirements for the female employers’ quality is analyzed, including professional and personal factors.The fifth chapter focuses on combing the relationship between female students’ expectation and the social needs. First, the female students’response to the National College Students’ employment project is analyzed to describe how they meet the needs of national situation. The degree of grass-roots employment project to understand and participation will in grass-roots work are analyzed. Then the adaptability analysis of female students’expectation to social needs is finished. In the analysis of general units’demand, the expectations to salary, the work condition, the unit condition, job category and the actual job category are analyzed by contrast. Secondly, female students’self-adjustment situation of employment expectation in the process of career is discussed, including the self-adjustment of starting salary, working place, unit class, their attitude to national grass-roots employment project. Thirdly, to describe the effect of self-adjustment of employment expectation, the number of female students who had signed is counted and the female employment expectations are compared with the actual conditions of employment. Finally, on the basis of empirical analysis, the five contradictions between female students’employment expectation and the social demand are summed up, and the causes are analyzed.In the sixth chapter, in the light of the five contradictions that the female graduates’ expectation does not meet the social demand, the essay proposes suggestions to guide the female college students to adapt to the social needs. The recommendations are aimed to form normal social needs and lead female graduates form rational employment expectation. The government, employers, universities, families and female university graduates should work hard together.Whether the employment expectation meets the practical needs of society is an important link to the success of university student employment. As the obvious weak status, female university graduates’ employment expectation has its own particularity, having various specific problems which does not adapt to the social needs. In order to help them find the job that can meet the personal expectation and social demands, society should focus on female employment expectations, understand their needs and social reality, increase support for female employment.
