Classic-reading means that children should read and learn the traditional masterpiece ofChinese culture at their best-memory age. Classic-reading is an important part ofChinese-teaching and learning process in primary school, and it is regarded as a significantmethod by which could inherit original Chinese culture, enhance the Chinese comprehensionof pupils, cultivate their personalities and advance their development in all respects. From theprivate school education in ancient times, reading has been all along handed down.until rightnow, the value of that suits pupils comprehensive ability and accomplishment, is becomingmore and more attainable. In fact, the importance of classic-reading is not yet profoundlyimpressive, either for teachers or for students, what is more, for parents. Those could notembody the mentioned value, so being lack of a way of studying Chinese and cultivatingpersonalities for students.My dissertation refers to primary Chinese classic-reading which is based on4parts:Part one: the conception of classic-reading, the theoretical basis for the enhancement tothe pupils.Part two: the key role of cultivation in Chinese comprehension of pupils, includingliteracy, memory, language sense, writing ability.Part three: the function of classic-reading in moral and aesthetic educationPart four: according to recent problems in the primary classic-reading, strategy and somesuggestion would be listed, such as election of classic-reading material, formulation ofquantity and time, measures of reading, evaluation, requirement and advice on thereading-conditions.
