The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is our country western security barrier, opendoor to the West and the important strategic energy reserves, is expected to become even thenational important economic growth pole in Western china. Xinjiang will not only face thecommon problem in the process of China’s modernization, but also needs to deal with manycomplex challenges. Xinjiang is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious coexistence region, bordering8countries, has the interior boundary line the longest, surrounding the complex political situation,has a special geographical environment and strategic position. In the United States by Westernhostile forces, inside and outside the "three forces" uninterrupted under the banner of "nation","religion" banner, affects the social stability of Xinjiang. Maintaining stability in Xinjiang isvital, much of the existing research based on the "point", analysis the lack of "face", also failedto form a systematic study on the global. In this paper, combined with the Xinjiang regional,ethnic, religious, cultural characteristics, by the party and state to maintain stability in Xinjianghistory, in a comprehensive analysis of internal and external factors that influence the stabilityof Xinjiang as the foundation, through the historical review of the ideological and politicaleducation of Xinjiang development, how to maintain the stability of Xinjiang, points out thatmaintaining stability in Xinjiang the need to strengthen the ideological and political education,the ideological and political education strategies maintain stability in Xinjiang. This paper isdivided into four parts, respectively after the reform and opening up from1979to1989,1990to2001,2001up to now Xinjiang University’s ideological and political education developmentstatus, problems and lessons learned.The first part: preface, this part from the geographical environment of Xinjiang, thestrategic position, nationality, religion and other aspects and practical significance of theideological and political education in Xinjiang since the reform and opening up the theoryresearch.The second part: elaborates the history and current situation of Xinjiang University’sideological and political education. The concept and development process of Ideological andpolitical education, the party and the state of Xinjiang to take the College Ideological andpolitical education policies at the same time, starting from the various factors affecting theXinjiang University’s ideological and political education briefly analyzes the history and currentsituation of Xinjiang University’s ideological and political education.The third part: the core of this thesis and the important part, is seriously out of Xinjiang since reform and opening up the ideological and political education history, presented in1979-1989,1990-2001, the characteristics of existing education since2001three stages and phasesof the problem, and the experience is worth to sum up and promote the various stage aresummarized and analyzed, laid the foundation for the fourth part height and basic experience ofzipper Xinjiang University Law of Ideological and political education.The fourth part: the basic rules and basic experience of Xinjiang University’s ideologicaland political education, namely, continue to adhere to the socialist orientation; consolidate theMarx doctrine in Ideological and political education of the guiding position; fully understandthe importance of instruction in our district ideology of the Marx doctrine; in all of collegeteachers and students to firmly establish the stability is of overriding importance thought.Adhere to the basic theory and practice firmly on the Marx doctrine faith; to improve thestudents’ level of Marx’s theory.
