The Research On Rural Community Education

To develop lifelong education and all-citizen education and to build a learning-society has become the trend of education in the world today, and has become the direction of our nation’s educational reform and development as well. Takes Nanzhushan village, Xiangyin County, Hunan Province as a case study, this paper argues, under the ideas of lifelong education and all-citizen education, rural community education will be an important way for peasants to receive continuing education.This paper uses methods of literature research, comparative analysis and empirical analysis. Through investigation in Nanzhushan village, Xiangyin County, it comprehends the development of community education in this area and analyzes current modes of development of community education; borrowing experience from community education reform at home and abroad, it analyzes problems in community education in Nanzhushan village, Xiangyin County and their main causes.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction. The second part proposes new definitions for community, community education, rural communities, rural community education, summarizes characteristics of rural communities and its main functions. On the basis of previous concept analysis, the third part takes Xiangyin County, Hunan Province as a case study, elaborates and analyzes problems in this mode. The fourth part proposed measures for the development of China’s rural community education, pointing out that the development of rural community education should be under the guidance of scientific concept of development proceed. The fifth part is a summary of the development of rural community education in our nation and makes prospects of the future development.
