In recent years, with the growing development of higher vocational and technicaleducation, the higher vocational and technical education in our country has been fromthe scale expansion to the connotation development, the quality problem of highervocational and technical education has become the focus in the study of highervocational and technical education. Higher vocational and technical teachers,asdirect participants of the education, have been regarded as a key factor to improve thequality of higher vocational and technical. Especially with the deepening andrefinement of the professional development of teachers, teacher’s professionaldevelopment of higher vocational and technical education has become an inevitablerequirement of the development of teachers’ professionalization in china. Teacherprofessionalization is mainly composed of professional emotion, professionalknowledge and professional ability. Professional ability is the key to higher vocationaland technical education. Starting with the perspective of professionalization ofvocational teachers,this paper aims at analyzing the ability structure of vocationalteachers, with the hope of improving the ability structure of vocational teachers.By using literature method, comparative research method, this paper discussesthe ability structure of higher vocational and technical teachers with the perspective ofteacher professionalization. This paper is divided into three parts:The first part: First, it analyzes of the concept and composition of teacherprofessionalization, and then puts forward to the concept of specialized vocationalteachers. Then, from the perspective of further development of teacher’sprofessionalization and self requirement of higher vocational and technical education,it describes the necessity of professional development of higher vocational andtechnical teachers. Finally, it analyzes the characteristics of higher vocational andtechnical teachers, which is different from other types of teachers’ professionalcharacteristics. One characteristic is that the "double teachers" is the professionaldevelopment direction; the other is that the ability of higher vocational teachers is thedriving force of higher vocational and technical teachers’ professional development.The second part: Based on the ability structure theory of British psychologist FuNan, the characteristics of vocational teachers’ occupation and related teachers’ laws and regulations, it divides the higher vocational teachers’ ability into three levels:basic ability, general occupation ability and core occupation ability. The basic abilityincludes professional teaching ability, scientific research ability, life-long learningability, interpersonal skills and the ability of education innovation. The generaloccupation ability mainly includes the understanding of vocational education,professional practice ability, guiding students to practice skills and the ability ofprofessional ethics education. Core occupation ability mainly involves vocationalcurriculum development, the ability of curriculum development and the ability ofproviding continuing education and training.The Third part: From the professional perspective, the ability of highervocational and technical teacher’s structure should run through the whole developingprocess of the career of teachers. To be more specifically: the pre-service educationtraining for basic ability, education training for general occupation ability at the in theentry stage, post-service education for core occupation ability. Through targetedability training of higher vocational and technical teachers in different circumstance,so as to realize the improvement of the ability of teacher’s structure.
