With the advance of the new curriculum reform, local geography teaching is highly valued.The new curriculum ideas deeply rooted, most teachers realize the importance of localgeography teaching. Conducive to boosting local geography teaching geography student interestin learning, help students who love their hometown, help develop students’ innovative ability inpractice. Although a lot of research on local geography, research on local geography teaching isvery broad, theoretical and practical aspects are involved, but because of local geography ofregional, local geography makes teaching vary, especially in Linyi City, this study area did not.This article is in this context that environment, carried out research in Linyi City local geographyteaching content system under the new curriculum standards, with a view of Linyi City localgeography teaching to make their own contribution. This article includes the following sections:Part Ⅰ: Introduction. In this section describes the origin and meaning of local geography, theresearch status of local geography teaching, namely research background; study was combingLinyi local geography teaching content, improve Linyi City, local geography teaching contentsystem; Significance is beneficial to stimulate student interest in learning geography isconducive to students who love their hometown, helping to train students innovative ability.Part Ⅱ: the theoretical basis of local geography teaching. In this section introduces the basictheory of teaching rural land, including the people of this theory, constructivist theory, cognitivedevelopment theory, situated cognition theory and zone of proximal development theory.Part Ⅲ: Status Linyi City, local geography teaching content system with existing problems.In this section, analysis discusses the present situation and problems of Linyi City, localgeography teaching content system, through a questionnaire survey, data analysis. Mainly fromthe teachers and students of the local geography teaching knowledge discovery Linyi City LocalGeography teaching content system following issues exist: the lack of a scientific system ofteaching content, teachers do not collect local geography teaching content and rich enthusiasm,lack of proper local geography teaching content system environment, and the actual contentshave divorced.
