Gymnastics is one of important content in physical education teaching in middle school. It is the clear teaching content of the school sports. Gymnastics can strong and shape our bodies, so it has an important role in middle school students’ growth and development. Middle school students are in an important period of growth and development, both in physical and in mental are to be mature. Because of the special characteristics, gymnastics will be of great advantage to the students’physical and mental development, So Gymnastics can strong and shape our bodies, so that the strong will quality and hardship spirit can be formed, gymnastics also has the universality and practicability characteristics, so it can choose the suitable training content to suit one’s measures, some actions such as forward-rollings, can also play a protective role in the teaching of gymnastics. At the same time, the extensive use of protection and helping will enable students to help each other and form the unity cooperation consciousness. These characteristics has a can-not-be-replaced role in the middle school students’ growth and development, so the quality of Gymnastics Teaching in middle schools is related to the students’ physical and mental development in a certain extent. But as time goes on, gymnastics teachings are payed less and less attention, there are not only less and less classes, but also the actual situation is not optimistic, which make the gymnastics teaching efficiency lower and lower, so gymnastics teachings can not meet the requirements of the teaching syllabus and be bad to students’growth and development.This article starts from the perspective of the educational equity, take gymnastics teaching in Linyi ordinary high school for example, it not only analysis gymnastics teaching present situation of the current high schools, but also research the differences between urban and rural areas, and the gap between schools from the fair perspective. This paper has a depth discussion in the advantages and disadvantages of high school gymnastics teaching and the unfair phenomenon, the main conclusions are as follows:1. The gymnastics teaching present situation in Linyi ordinary high school is not ideal, the teaching content of single and too simple, most of the school is not in accordance with the syllabus for the class,62.5%schools only teach parts of the contents, and8.3%school’gymnastics teaching has nothing with the contents.2. The gymnastics teaching mode in Linyi ordinary high school is single, as the teaching need, individual schools have tried to explore the new teaching modes, but at present there is no effective model. Students’ interest in gymnastics class is not high, the main reason is there is no effective teaching modes and students’interest has not be stimulated.3. The teaching method and means in Linyi ordinary high school gymnastics are the traditional teaching methods and means, only a few schools use modern science and technology means to teach, from the view of the teaching effect, high-tech means of multimedia teaching are sure to have good effects.4. Teachers of high school physical education in Linyi ordinary high school:the education level of the physical teachers is relatively high, In the view of age,78.7%of the teachers’ages are from30-45, so most physical teachers are young. At the same time, the teaching titles are low, professional gymnastics teaches are few. So it cannot satisfy the need of Gymnastics Teaching in middle school. And also most gymnastics teachers are not clear of the gymnastics teaching requirements.5. Students of Linyi ordinary high school:most students like physical education, most of the students like sports like basketball, table tennis and some other sports, yet most of the students are not clear of the effects of gymnastics.6. The gymnastics teaching present situation in Linyi ordinary high school is not optimistic, the equipment facilities is not perfect and there are some potential safety problems; In order to avoid teaching accidents, teachers do not teach difficult movements, for the shortage of sports funds, most schools are not paid enough attention to physical education.7. From the fairness view of the education, there is a significant gap among three districts and nine counties, mainly in sports facilities and sports fundings, the teaching facilities are more perfect in Key middle schools than in common middle schools, and there are also more funds in three districts than in nine counties, at the same time the Key middle schools have a certain advantages in the educational resources.
