School is the grassroots of the education. In a sense, education reform anddevelopment are following such a logical order: curriculum-teacher-school-(category)education from the eighth basic education curriculum reform in2001.Along with thebasic implementation of the school-based, and teachers’ professional growth, mustlose no time to catch the "school" of the grassroots of education reform anddevelopment.Pay close attention to its growth, and strengthen its construction. Onlythen, the Education reform will develop smoothly and get twice the result with halfthe effort. The practice purpose of study of school growth is “The school is different,but the school education is same in everywhere", which is the crack of the compulsoryeducation balanced development problems.This study is based on the study of life growth as the logical starting point, andbased on Organizational Growth Theory as the theoretical basis, including EnterpriseGrowth Theory and Life Cycle Theory. The author studies the growth of China’sCompulsory Education School by various analysis methods.The thesis is divided into five chapters. The main contents are as follows:The first chapter is an introduction, mainly from the background and value of theresearch, research review, research ideas and methods as well as the features anddefects of research.The second chapter is the essential theoretical foundation of the study of theschool growth, namely the Self-organizing Theory and the Life Cycle Theory. And theauthor analyses the applicableness of the study of school growth simply.The third chapter is the connotation of the school growth, the first conceptdefinition of the school, growth and school growth, and then respectively summarizesthe characteristics of school growth under the perspective of organization,system andlife.The fourth chapter is the school condition analysis, this chapter is divided into two parts: one is the school growth factor analysis, divided into the expansion ofthe “quantity” and the growth of "quality", including Natural Life, Spiritual Life andSocial Life; Second, the analysis of the motive power of school growth, including theself-reliance motive power and other motive power.The fifth chapter analyses our Chinese compulsory education school vision andpath. First, under the life cycle perspective, with growth factors of quantity andquality, to build the vision of growth mode of Chinese compulsory education schoolgrowth; second based on the power of the growth in the previous chapter, explores thepath of growth of Chinese compulsory education schools under the motive power.
