With the developing trend of low-aged Chinese learners in Korea, a growing number ofSouth Korean primary schools started Chinese course, the study of South Korean elementaryschool Chinese classroom has also been started. Although "Happy education" has been used asan important teaching philosophy into practice since the creation of the Chinese classroom inKorean elementary school, but most schools have started Chinese language courses as"after-school class," the teachers come from different backgrounds, most of them are Chinesevolunteer teachers and just began to take the teaching position in Korea, These young volunteerChinese teachers were not well understand the concept of on "Happy education", resulted thatthey often got into the misunderstanding in the teaching processes, and, not well showed theadvantages of "Happy education" concept in practical teaching. The most important point is thatsome volunteer Chinese teachers simply think happiness is the only purpose to make the studentsto acquire the Chinese in a happy way while ignored the teaching effect. In fact, the final goal ofthe "Happy education" as the guiding philosophy of the classroom is to enable students toexperience the joy of learning, allowing students to complete the task in the happy learning, andto improve teaching efficiency. The author investigated the situation of the Chinese teaching bymethods of questionnaire survey, literature research, interviews and observation, then analyzedthe investigate results, and then puts the solution forward—the Chinese teaching strategies in theSouth Korean elementary schools which under the idea of “Happy teaching”.This paper includes four chapters:In the first chapter, the author stated the background and significance of the topic, and thenthere is a analysis of the research status of primary school Chinese teaching in Korea, andproposed innovation of this paper on the basis of previous research results.The second chapter, it mainly investigated the status of the teaching of Chinese in Koreaprimary school by a survey with the methods of questionnaires, interviews with teachers,observation and other methods, mainly from teachers, students, lesson and school, and thenanalyzed the results.The third chapter mainly summarized some of the problems that exist in the Koreanelementary school Chinese teaching by the method of Chinese volunteer teachers and teaching processes. For example: the Chinese volunteer teachers are lack of the understand of emotionalinteraction between teachers and students, lack of understand of the nature of "Happy education",poor designed classroom activities and the bad classroom atmosphere.In the forth chapter,the author put forward the "happy teaching" as the guiding philosophyof the Korean primary school Chinese teaching by analyzed the front results and personalteaching experiences. And described a number of well-established Chinese classroom activities,just like games and activities, the song-dance activities, language performances and handicraftactivities, finally, analyses the strengths and teaching problems through teaching feedbacks.
