This research mainly employs the methods of questionnaire, interview,observation and case study concerning six domestic university teachers and students’knowledge of Chinese traditional culture. Investigations have been conducted as to theintroducing of the outstanding Chinese traditional culture into the moral educationpractice and moral value judgment. A more detailed investigation has been conductedon the infiltration of the content and the effect of Chinese traditional culture into moraleducation in Colleges and universities in great detail.The research shows that the university teachers and students have already had abetter understanding of the significance and value of Chinese traditional culture. Mostof the teachers and students are of the view that the Chinese outstanding traditionalculture is a valuable spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation, and it should be introducedinto the university education and its moral education. A good combination of the moraleducation with outstanding Chinese traditional culture can result effectively. Howeverthe actual effect of the practice is not so satisfactory in spite of the awareness of itsimportance, due to the management system and the actual work. The majority ofteachers and students speak lowly of the current status of the combination of moraleducation with outstanding Chinese traditional culture. The current situation showsthat the combination and introduction is not systematic, the contents are not much tothe point and the methods are not so effective.In view of the present situation of the introduction of the outstanding traditionalculture into the moral education in Universities, this study suggests that Chineseoutstanding traditional culture should be introduced into the university’s moraleducation classroom, according to the characteristics and requirements of CollegeStudents’ social practice, and the contents, forms, methods and approaches should befound by exploring actively into the characteristics and the requirements of moraleducation practice combined with the Chinese outstanding traditional culture inUniversity and College Students’ social practice, and a sustainable mechanism beestablished, characteristic of Chinese Universities. It is further suggested that theoutstanding Chinese traditional culture be infiltrated into the construction ofUniversity Internet Culture, and a strong team of moral education be formed to realizethe combination of the moral education with the outstanding Chinese traditionalculture with an effective system of teaching, management and rear service.
