Urbanization and agricultural modernization are development strategies which promote to establish an all-around affluent society in China in2020.Guizhou province is also in the same way. To accelerate the urbanization and agricultural modernization, Guizhou is vigorously pushing on the main platform constructions of the five "100"programme, which are to make100industrial parks,100modern high-efficient agricultural demonstration parks,100small demonstration towns and so on. Guizhou needs a large number of rural practical talents in this development process. The population of rural practical talents is going to be480000in2015.The rural practical talents are mainly trained in agriculture-related specialty in rural secondary vocational schools and other schools.I read a lot of literatures to make choice of the research area and the aim is to search for the content and method of agriculture-related specialty construction and promote agriculture-related specialty construction with educational colleagues in Guizhou rural secondary vocational schools. I choose direct and indirect investigations as the research method. First of all, I have interviews with competent departments of education and agriculture to understand the requirement of agriculture-related specialty education and the educational type of rural practical talents in the agricultural modernization process. Secondly, I acquaint myself with that the implement of agricultural modernization brings opportunities and challenges to the construction of agriculture-related specialty. Thirdly, I know the current situation and existing issues of agriculture-related specialty and fourthly I propose the construction method of agriculture-related specialty.The research finds that rural practical talents are mainly taught in agriculture-related specialty in rural vocational schools and other vocational schools. Agriculture-related specialty construction delay of rural vocational schools or other vocational schools is very obvious. Small scales of school and indefinite characteristics of vocational education restricted the development of agriculture-related specialty. The agriculture-related specialty construction in Machinery Industry School of Guizhou is mainly focused on the construction of specialty groups, mode reform of talent training, construction of practice base, course construction, construction of teaching staff, school operation by group and so on. The method has been found to strengthen the agriculture-related specialty construction and it is in accordance with the direction of teaching reform and development of vocational education. The agriculture-related specialty construction has been achieving results. The value of this manuscript is below. Guizhou is a less developed province and it has a large poverty population. The vocational education of Guizhou lags behind that of eastern region for at least ten years. The teaching conditions of rural vocational schools are very poor and most of them are not up to the medium vocational school-running standards of the Ministry of education. The agriculture-related specialty construction has difficulty in taking a step. The national demonstrative construction school-Machinery Industry School of Guizhou is taken as the research subject to find the content and method for the construction of agriculture-related specialty and to meet the needs of talents for the development of agricultural modernization.
