Role And Function Of Social Work In The Community Management Innovation

Community work management plays a pivotal role in promoting the development of society as it is an indispensable part of improving city management and the lives of residents.With reform and opening up and the social economy development,community becomes the most important unit in improving citizens’life and development need.At present, traditional community work managemnt can not satisfy people’s life and development need,as a result, people pay more attention on promoting innovation of the cummunity work management,improving the community environment and providing the best services to people.Community Management in cities is playing an important role which cannot be ignored in the development of our society. Communities have become the basic level that contains a very close relationship with people’s life with the Policy of Reforming and Opening Up and the development of economical society. Traditional style of community management cannot satisfy people’s requirements in their lives nowadays; creating new style of management, that would make a better atmosphere among the entire community, has become a popular topic. Social work could bring positive new factors to the traditional style and management and create harmony society to current situation at the same time. Community organization functions dislocation, Chief of the autonomous community organizations, community residents have less interested in taking part in, lack of resource of operation of communities, re-integration of basic level of communities have appeared. It is obvious that if social workers are provided with knowledge such as assisting people in correct scientific methods, helping people through a long period of time, and combining resource working ability, that would be very positive and valuable for pushing the innovation of community management forward. In view of this, Shaanxi Province made a public recruitment in2012to hire the first group of professional community staffs that the majority of them contain backgrounds of professional knowledge of social work and Practical experience.The sample in this article, Community B, is the forefront of innovation of community management, at the same time it does well in management of organizations, services, securities, and culture. Community B pioneers Community Studio to assigned functions to community staffs with policy advantages in Xi’an City. Community staffs have made great job on serving professionally, creating new ideas, encouraging residents to participate, integrating resources, and improving management efficiency. This article attempts to summarize the role and function that social work acts and creates which is based on the actual working experience from social staffs of Community B in nearly one year.
