With the rapid development of China’s economy and the social improvement of livingstandards, On the one hand, the broad masses of the people’s leisure time also will be moreand more, so the masses demand for entertainment, fitness and health; On the other hand, theobesity and physical deterioration phenomenon is increasing, which will lead to theoccurrence of more and more social civilization diseases and affect people’s lives especiallythose of the older women. In addition, Colleges and universities women teachers shoulder thedual responsibility of the family and school. Therefore, their pressure of daily work and life isvery high.Research purposes: As a new fitness plan, the line dance has been widely carried out inour country. There is no doubt about the value of the line dance exercise, but most studies arestill on the stage of theoretical description and lack of objective data to support. Studies online dance exercise of middle-aged female teachers are very few.As an important force in the school, middle-aged female teachers’ health should not beignored, but due to various reasons, they are lacking of physical exercise. This studysystematically explores the influence line dance exercise on middle-aged female teachers’health-related physical fitness and mental heslth. And trying to use objective data to proveline dancing’s influence on middle-aged female teachers’ fitness. The result is hoping toprovide some references for teachers’ training.Research methods: this study selected the60middle-aged female teachers in HebeiNormal University as research subjects and randomly divided them into experimental groupand control group. We gave30people of experimental group a12weeks’ line danceintervention with three times a week and60minutes per time. At the same time, compare tothe control group which without any intervention. This study also uses the questionnairesurvey to select research subjects.The results of the study:(1) Through the questionnaire survey, the situation of thephysical health and exercise of middle-aged female teachers is not optimistic, there exist many factors to hinder their exercise.(2) After12weeks’ regular line dancing exercise, theweight of middle-aged female teachers significantly reduced, so as their body fat and BMIvalue, the indicators (p<0.01).(3) After12weeks’ regular line dancing exercise, can lower theexerciser’s quiet heart rate (p<0.05) and step index increased significantly (p<0.05). vitalcapacity increased significantly (p<0.01),Their blood pressure improved, and theircardiopulmonary function exercised greatly.(4) After12weeks’ exercise, middle-aged femaleteachers’ flexibility and balance increase significantly (p<0.01), little change of the sensitivity(p<0.05), line dance exercise can effectively improve middle-aged female teachers’ physicalquality.(5) After12weeks’ regular line dance exercise, exercisers’ lower limb musclestrength changed (p<0.01), but the upper body strength changed little (p﹥0.05).(6) After12weeks’ line dance exercise, the self-assessment lists of symptom SCL-90test results showsignificant change of all eight factors expect the neuropathic factor in the tested30teachers.Research conclusions:(1) The health and physical exercise situation of middle-agedfemale teachers in Hebei Normal University is not optimistic, they are willing to exercise butthere are many obstacles to hinder their exercise.(2) After12weeks’ regular line danceexercise, the health-related physical fitness of middle-aged female teachers are improved invarying degrees. The middle-aged female teachers’ weight reduced, body fat lowered, quietheart rate lowered and vital capacity increased; their flexibility, balance, lower limb musclestrength increased but grip strength changed little. Experiments show that line dance is asuitable exercise for middle-aged female teachers.(3)Line dance exercise can effectivelypromote the development of mental health of middle-aged female teachers. After12weeks’line dance exercise, the self-assessment lists of symptom SCL-90test results show that theline dancing exercise play a positive role in middle-aged female teacher’s body, interpersonalrelationship and state such as anxiety and depression. Therefore, line dance is a very suitableexercise for middle-aged women teachers to promote the development of their body andmind.
