The operating system of Chinese textbooks, an important part of the Chinesetextbook, plays a significant role in the teaching activities, whose quality andreasonable use will directly affect the overall effect of Chinese Teaching. We can saythat it is the hub between teaching and learning. According to the reference ofliteratures and years of experience in the teaching, the author found the teachingdesign and the use of the operating system in Chinese textbook is not just as onewishes. Generally, teachers do not attach enough importance to it; meanwhile,students do not do homework efficiently, becoming a problem to be solved in theoperating system. At present, schools use PEP Chinese textbooks first trialed in2004and widely used in the nationwide range, that is the experimental Chinese Textbookfor the ordinary high school curriculum standard(Compulsory) Compulsory1~Compulsory5, and this version breaks the past PEP pattern, the name of each partchanged, the past use of "practice" changed into "research and practice". Comparedwith the operating system of the old version of PEP Edition, are there other changes inaddition to the name change? What do these changes illustrate? All have become theproblems to be solved. The related exploration about the operating system has notripped, although the system changed and gradually matures. There are a few relatedexplorations through the literature arrangement, let alone monograph, only scatteringthroughout the relevant materials of the book.Based on the above reasons, the author makes it the object of the study the newand old PEP versions in2003the full-time ordinary high middle school textbook(Compulsory)1~6Chinese textbook and in2004the ordinary high school curriculumstandard experiment Chinese Textbook (Compulsory)1~5, aiming at doing somepreliminary exploration to the development of the operating system. This thesisconsists of four chapters. The first chapter introduces the concept and the relatedresearch, paving the way for the following parts of the thesis. The topic of chaptersecond is overall analysis of operating system in the old and the new two versions and reorganizing the similarities and differences between them. Based on the previousanalysis, chapter three presents the advantages and disadvantages of the operatingsystem, making it clear what is to inherit and carry forward and what should beimproved and avoided. In the fourth chapter, from the point of writers, teachers, andstudents, expounds how to make the operating system’s role into full play, and putsforward some improvement suggestions for the design and use of the chapter on theoperating system of Chinese Textbooks, hoping to change the phenomenon not toappear among the operating system users, contributing to the building of the futureoperating system in PEP high middle school Chinese Textbook.
