Content:Senior Middle school geography is the main position of geography CurriculumRevolution. If there was not implementation of class behavior change, the new curriculum cannot be carried on, Quality education also can not be implemented. Now is the period that Anew round of curriculum reform is in the full implementation, the "activity teaching" hasbecome a major feature of the new senior middle school geography new curriculum reform.The innate character of Senior Middle school geography class treats students outside theclassroom practice as the main indicator and uses the initiative of the students’ activities asthe fundamental characteristics. It Advocate to us thinking, exploration and practice means tostudy. That consistent with autonomy, cooperation, inquiry learning means which the newcurriculum advocates. The senior school geography activity teaching is a new teaching means,it is the development of senior school geography teaching means.Under the guidance of geography teaching theory, based on the concept of the newcurriculum, this paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of the implementation of activityteaching in Senior Middle school geography class. By empirical and collection of activityteaching case from senior middle school class, I find some problems in the implementation ofthe new curriculum in geography process, those are as follow: lack of activity teaching inclass, the activity teaching lack the depth and become a mere formality; the activity teachingcarry out very little and the activity in class inconsistent with the activity students eager to.After studying above problems, the writer reveals various kinds of factors which obstaclesImplementation of activity teaching. For example geographical learning evaluation method isnot conducive to the development of activity teaching; activity teaching lacks the supportfrom school; teachers’ understanding of geography activity teaching is not enough; Thestudents’ interest in geography activity teaching is not enough and the development ofgeography activity teaching condition is Limited, especially extracurricular activities teachingcondition is not enough.. The writer also offers his advice for implement of activity teachingfor classroom teaching activities and extracurricular activities. For the activity in class, the teacher should appropriately choose time, carefully design the program of activities and selectthe activities reasonable. For the activity after the class, we should improve the quality ofgeography teachers, strengthen students’ geography skills, deepen cooperation betweendifferent schools and share the extracurricular geography activities teaching resources.By means of literature research, questionnaire survey, interview, case study method andsome other means, under in-depth empirical study, this paper will provides an easy andfeasible standard for the majority of first-line senior middle school geography teachers tocorrectly understand the activity teaching. This paper includes the writer idea to change thereality of geography teaching. By this paper, the writer hopes to provide a theoretical basisand method guidance for the majority of teachers to teaching more scientific. By this paper,the writer also hope to relieve some teach double for activity teaching and enhance the overallquality and efficiency of teaching activities, and promote all-round development of students.
