This paper presents a research on the teaching of argumentative writing ofart-specialized students in senior high school. It analyzes the present teaching ofwriting, the teaching of argumentative writing and the Chinese writing of art-specialized students. It is based on the theories of writing, cooperative learningand Multiple Intelligences, and in accordance with the psychological andlearning characteristics of art-specialized students in high school. It also drawson the experience of the relevant theoretical achievements in this field, and iscombined with my own teaching practice.The article is mainly about cultivating the students’ writing interests,improving their writing ability, creating effective classes and instructing theirwriting in Grade Three. Firstly, various class activities suitable for art studentsare organized to train the students’ interest of writing, such as enjoying beautifulessays, reviewing books and practicing paragraph writing. Secondly, studentswill be guided to accumulate writing materials from life and knowledge in hopeof gaining great accomplishment in writing. Thirdly, teaching activities arearranged on the basis of the teaching plan of argumentative writing to improvethe efficiency of the class according to the learning characteristics of art students.With the aid of the guidance learning paper, the classes stimulate the students’enthusiasm of writing and improve their ability of correcting compositions inform of self-learning and team work. Finally, there are golden times we can take advantage of to effectively instruct the students’ writing skills in language,structure, and handwriting of argumentative writing.
