The General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speaking about rigorously enforce thrift and oppose extravagance and wasting in the Second Session of the Eighteenth Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on Jan.23rd2013,had aroused strong repercussions in the the whole society. He stressed that we should vigorously carry forward the fine traditions of the Chinese nation thrift, vigorously promote the ideas of that thrift is glorious and wasting is shameful, trying to make the thrift and oppose wasting common in the whole society.It reflected the stick to the thrift awareness in the process of socialist construction, and required all members of society should have a profound understanding of the significance for the further development of social the thrift did. Thus, thrift is not only a basic social responsibility, but also a necessary condition for the realization of national revival. In a better and better condition, poverty and hunger may be not any more, but due to the wasting everywhere in the society, growing consumer trend of bad breeding, thrift education has become increasingly urgent.From the theoretical point of view, this study will help to promote people to form a correct opinion of thrift, and create a good social atmosphere, to promote to build the conservation-oriented society and to achieve sustainable development. From the practical point, this research will help to open up new areas of school thrift education, rich the thrift theory knowledge of high school education ideological and political courses.By improving implement of the thrift education of the high school ideological and political course,to improve the effectiveness of thrift education,eventually cultivate the conservation-oriented society talents with resource-saving society and the sense of responsibility.This article analyzes the current problems and actual causes of thrift education from the curriculum development, the thrift awareness of the educators and the external environment of thrift education,and proposes some effective countermeasures to help enhance the direction, proactive and effectiveness of the thrift education.This article includes three parts. The first part mainly analyzes the necessary to carry out the thrift education in the ideological and political course of high school. It argues that it not only is a request to build a conservation-oriented society but also a requirement to carry forward the traditional virtues of thrift, guide students to establish a new concept of thrift and stress the need for ideological and political nature in the high school. Meanwhile, highlight the spirit value of thrift and establish the education awareness of teenagers. The second part discusses the problems and causes of thrift education from the practical situation. It mentions that because of the invasion of intellectual moral, the weakening of the educator’s thrift education awareness and utilitarianism of the school’s on, which leads to a lack of thrift education in the high school ideological and political course and ineffective implementation. The last part starts from the problems existed and is based on the successful experience of thrift education abroad, respectively put forward some comprehensive countermeasures from the strengthening of thrift education programs, strengthening the thrift education awareness of the educator, creating a favorable external environment and other aspects.
