With the rapid development of information technology today, information technologyeducation has brought new opportunities for the innovation of our education.The newcurriculum for information technology education in high school requires us to enhancestudents’ information ability as the fundamental goal. It requires the teachers not only makestudents master the basic skills of information technology, but also develop students’personality and open up their horizons, encourage students to innovate. As a subject closelylinked with modern information technology, in high school information technologycurriculum, the teaching content are closely related with the date, and the informationtechnology teaching plays an important role in cultivating students’ creative ability. Tocultivate the innovation ability of the students, traditional teaching mode cannot satisfy thedemand, which requires us to change the roles of teachers and students in the traditionalteaching, making teachers as guiders and students as main part. At present, the main modes ofnew teaching include research learning, collaborative learning, self-learning.According to thecharacteristics of the teaching content of high school information technology, researchlearning can be combined with other teaching mode, reducing the killing of the students’creative ability. Therefore this paper focuses on the study of the cultivation of students’innovation ability in high school information technology teaching.This paper using literature method, survey method, experimental method, has conductedthe system research to the implementation of inquiry learning in the information technologyteaching in high school. The paper introduces the related concept, learning attributes andcharacteristics of research learning, the concept of innovation ability and the relatedconcepts (the spirit of innovation,; quality of innovation, innovation consciousness,innovation ability and innovation thought); and analyses the new curriculum reform of seniorhigh school information technology, explains the application of research study in cultivatingthe students’ ability of innovation and the significance of research learning in the informationtechnology teaching. The study of learning in the information technology teaching of strategyanalysis, a comprehensive analysis of the feasibility study in the teaching of informationtechnology, the cultivation of students’ innovation ability in study learning strategies,including the characteristics of information technology courses, students broaden theirhorizons in network research, the development of students’ creative thinking; to encouragestudents to question in the learning process, to cultivate the spirit of innovation andinnovation consciousness; to guide students to discuss in groups cooperation and positiveevaluation of students; application of research learning in technology combined with teachingand general technology, let the student do research independently to cultivate their innovationability.ln research, combining their own teaching experience and others, the author makesconcrete project design, developing training strategy in the information technologyclass.Through comparison of teaching experiment, analyse of the experimental data, verify the effect of research learning in the information technology teaching to train students’innovation ability.
