It is known to us all that teachers and students are considered to be the most importantfactors in the teaching and learning process. The relationship between them is not only thepremise that ensures teaching to go smoothly, but also an important carrier of its operation.Therefore, qualities of factors are needed to maintain the relationship between them and thecare and help are greatly emphasized in the relationship. So warmth and love betweenteachers and students can create a caring, friendly and harmonious relationship. With the rapiddevelopment of society, in real life, people generally feel the keen competition and thepressure of modern life. More and more people have become indifferent to others. Even more,selfishness, lack of cares and compassion and indifference have become common in the newgeneration of young people. Harmonious and stable development of society not only dependson the economy, but also needs care, friendly affection and cooperation relationships.Under the background of lack of care and love, an American educator Nel Noddingsproposes the claim of caring theory and stresses that caring is a kind of relation. We shoulddisplay great initiative in our society. Therefore, we absorbs this kind of caring conscious todeal with the challenge in universities. In order to cultivate a new era when students arelearning to care, to love themselves and others, education plays a very important role in oursociety. In the meantime, students should also learn the ability to care and be trained goodcitizens. The caring educational theory was created by Noddings. It is widely concerned in theeducation sector, and leading the theory into the construction of relationship between teachersand students for intensive study. The theory will have an important research value andpractical significance in the teaching and learning progress.This paper includes four parts in all.Section1is introduction, which mainly discusses research background, research status athome and abroad, research ideas, research methods and innovative points.Section2is a comprehensive analysis of the caring education theory. First of all, theauthor makes a detailed comprehension about the caring theory that includes the definition ofthe theory, the basic characteristics and so on. The next, this paper explains the nature points and characteristics of the relationship between teachers and students in senior high school aswell as in university. Finally, this paper summarizes the current basis of conjunction betweenthe Nodding’s caring theory and the relationship between teachers and students in universities.It is conducive and meaningful to be further understood the characteristics of the relationshipbetween them. The caring roles and characteristics of awareness in teachers and students werediscussed respectively. The relationship between teachers and students in universities dependson teachers and students interaction. It needs to be further thought the caring theory in theapplied research of the relationship between teachers and students.Section3makes a wholly statement about the current lack of care condition betweenteachers and students in colleges and universities and at the same time seeks the cause of theproblem so that the paper can give a detailed explanation. This article analyzed therelationship between teachers and students from the following four aspects which are theadversarial relationship between teachers and students, the leasing relationship betweenteachers and students, the tropism relationship between teachers and students respectively.What is more, this article also summarizes the existing problems from five aspects thatinclude teachers, students, school, family and society. As a matter of fact, the reason for thelack of care between teachers and students in colleges and universities has a lot, but in thisarticle, we pay more attention to the relationship between teachers and students.Section4is the core content of this article. It puts forward the effective countermeasuresto solve the lack of care between teachers and students in colleges and universities. Firstly,from the Nodding’s care theory, this part mainly elaborates some specific principles. There arefour main principles for composing the relationship. They are understanding and love, respectand trust, understanding and communicating, democracy and equality so as to provide thereference for the construction of the relationship between teachers and students in collegesand universities. Secondly, it is focused on the strategies of the construction of caringrelationship, and we will discuss three perspectives in detail. This paper expounds the caresystem guarantee and the care of campus culture. In the caring institutional guarantee referredto the education goal and course setting, and the particularity of the relationship betweenteachers and students. In the caring campus culture referred to the definition of the care of campus culture, and the caring campus cultural care for teachers and students. Finally, thispart discussed the specific care action, which needs to build the relationship between teachersand students. It is referred to the family, teachers and students. From the aspects of the family,which need to create a good environment for the family culture, and correctly deal withfamily relationships. From the aspects of teachers, they need to set up care educationconcept, with caring personality quality, and the practice of caring ability. From the aspects ofstudents, they need to cognitive care, personal care connect properly, and practice the sincerecare.
