As the saying goes, it’ll take ten years to sharpen a sword. With the new curriculumreform, Comprehensive Practice Project has covered ten years of development. During the tenyears, Comprehensive Practice Project has palyed an important part in enriching curriculummodel and optimizing curriculum structure. The course has become popular with students inschools. It can’t be denied that with the deep development of curriculum implementation,many problems have become increasingly prominent, such as teachers’s low professionallevel and lack of guidance ability. These problems have seriously obstacled the developmentprocess of this course and have become a hard nut to crack before all the researchers andteachers. Thus, the research firstly makes a survey on the present situation of ComprehensivePractice Project teachers’ professional development in schools. Then on the base of analysisof the data and the access to relevant references, it tries to seek some practical and targetedstrategies to promote the teachers’ professional development. It is hoped that the relatedresearch results will provide some enlightenment to the teachers’ professional development.This thesis consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction. It mainly introducesthe background of choosing the topic, defines some necessary conception used in this paper. Itmakes a brief summary about the previous research overview home and abroad as well as theresearch methods. It also states in detai the background of carrying the research and the mainproblems to solve and tries to seek theoretical evidence for the research.The second part focuses on the investigation of the present situation of123Comprehensive Practice Project teachers’ professional development in the four urban districtsof Zhifu, Laishan, Muping and Fushan in Yantai. In order to gain the overall situation andpractical problems of professional development of the teachers, a special survery has beencairry out among the20researchers of Comprehensive Practice Project in14cities in Yantai.The third part is the problems. According to the survery, it summarizes and analyses theproblems in professional development and the reasons of formation of the current situation inthe domain of professional knowledge, professional abilities and professional affections.The fourth part provides some countermeasures for Comprehensive Practice Projectteachers’ professional development, including creating a good environment for professionaldevelopment, building diverse professional knowledge architecture and forming superb professional skills literacy.The fifth part is the conclusion. As an important aspect of boosting the implementationof Comprehensive Practice Project in schools, teachers’ professional development should bebased on the special features of the course, in search of more targeted and effectivecountermeasures to promote continuous improvement of teachers’ professional quality.
