Study On Enlightment Of Rogers’ Encounter Group On Ideological And Political Education

Encounter group was founded in the middle of the twentieth century. It was a form of group counseling. Encounter group helps visitors to find and solve problems, through the interpersonal interaction between members of the group. It emphasizes the emotional expression and psychological experience of the visitors of the present and local moment. Once created, the treatment technology has been widely used in government, industry, family, education, diplomacy, and many other fields. In the1990s, the group psychological counseling was introduced to China, and since then it has experienced extensive localization research. The concept of encounter group was introduced to the field of ideological and political education, to help people deepen the knowledge of the socialist group counseling techniques, to expand the vision of the ideological and political education. On the other hand, to enhance the affinity and appeal of ideological and political education, to provide a a useful reference value to promote the study of ideological and political education paradigm shift.The ideological and political education is a practical activity, the purpose is to train people and shape people.The purpose of encounter group is to promote the develop the mental health. The common of them is people’s spiritual world. This paper firstly focuses on carding the historical process of group psychological counseling. On this basis, analyses the origin the encounter group’s development, form, theoretical basis and practical sources, etc. And then to explore the basic content of counter groups, including the concept, nature, structure, process, procedures, principles, methods and techniques, etc. Then carry on comparative analysis to the encounter group with the ideological and political education, the emphasis is on both commonness of exploration. It provides the realistic possibility to this research. Finally to the "four elements" of ideological and political education as the foundation, namely by subject, object, medium body, ring body. To explore the process of ideological and political education encounter group, methods, and enlightenment of the relationship between teachers and students. So innovative the research perspective of ideological political education, realize the connection of the two theories and inject new element to the ideological and political education research.
