Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In Rural Children Physical Abuse

The education in the rural area of our country is of poor quality. Children’s body abuse is widespread which brings harm not only to physical wounds and pain, but also brings children incalculable mental harm. Social worker, which functions as an important member of the social assistance system, has the responsibility to take action to help abused children out of the harm.Facts show that there are different reasons causing the children abuse. The condition will be improved if we can find the main reasons. This study applies the method of group work, recruiting eight children being abused, taking "break the ice, review, trust, resilience, outlook" as the theme of the5times of group activities. Through group discussion, we can help children find different causes of abuse and discuss ways to avoid abuse. Maltreated children have widespread problems such as interpersonal disorders and negative self-image. Group work through games, group discussion, role playing and proper emotional expression will allow members to develop positive self-image, improve the interpersonal relations, rebuild social trust relationship so as to achieve "win-win" goal.The research results show that the intervention of team work in social work is very effective. This method can let the children and their peer groups experience similar experiences or feelings, and they will gradually realize that he is not alone so that they can change battered dilemma with the help of outside powers. The current social work sector is weak because of lacking professional school social workers and the classes’ set-up is not universal in the university. However the demand for social workers is urgent and necessary. School social worker when faced with the problem of children abuse should act as a service provider, supporters of abused children and advocate system, laws and policies which will affect the person’s multiple roles.Lastly, this thesis will carry out an exploration of the model of universities of setting up the station of social work. The station will help protect the rights and interests of children and will contribute its part to the healthy development of the body and mind of the children.
