From the early nineties of the last century till nowadays, hundreds of thousands ofmanagement personnel graduated from China’s Business Schools. There are lots of famoustop businessmen, many entrepreneurs and senior managers among those graduates, whoare the most precious human resources for these Business Schools. However, due to therunning characteristics of Chinese universities, in a traditional view, the role of the alumniassociation is not treated with enough attention. The inertia of thinking also limited thedevelopment of Business Schools’ Alumni Association, with stiff forms, lack ofmechanisms and responsibility. This makes the majority of alumni like coal underground,valuable, but can’t tap the energy they should play because of unreasonable excavation.But, In the US, where the business schools developed very well, the donation and otherforms of return from the alumni are varies and advanced.In recent years, with the increasing of Chinese business schools, the number of alumniof the schools is also rapidly increasing. At the same time, competition has intensifiedamong business schools, leading them to emphasis on alumni more and more. In order toeffectively develop alumni resources, to guide those alumni contribute money to their almamater and share the resources with each other, to achieve better social prestige, to attractmore and better students, we should pull the alumni work out of those simple alumnifriendship connecting activities and donations, build relevant return-feeding mechanism,and add the return-feeding channels and methods for the alumni.If we could timely identify and promote those return-feeding behaviors, construct niceconcept and awareness of return-feeding by supporting the development for alumniand built friendly service oriented alumni associations, focus on return-feeding culturetraining, enrich alumni association team members, serve the alumni better, and meanwhile,combine and use some new technologies to promote and monitor the implementation of thereturn-feeding mechanism, we are sure that the alumni work of the business schools will bemore exciting in the new era.
