Research On The Status Of Homes For The Elderly In Rural Areas Of Fujian Province

Homes for the Elderly in the Rural Areas has more than60years,which is based on the Five-guarantees system. As the main way of rural institutional caring,it is improving the ability of professional services for village inhabitants. Since2006, Fujian Province has speeded up the pace of Homes for the Rural Elderly. But the problem of supply and demand imbalance, funds nervous and backward in services is still serious. With the development of the times,Homes for the Rural Elderly supply was hard to meet village inhabitants’changing requirement.Based on the supply of public goods theory, this article describes the history of Homes for the Elderly in the Rural Areas in Fujian to leading-out the reseaech of fujian’s.Secendly, it sketchs the development situation of fujian’s Homes for the Elderly and analysises the results of survey in Fuzhou,Quanzhou and Nanping.Thirdly,this article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of supply modes about Homes for the Elderly in Fujian,combining with the current situation analysis and research results,mixed supply pattern is taken for the choice to solve this problem.The last,learning from the experience of Hong Kong and Taiwan endowment supply, countermeasures is put forward for the further development of Fujian’s Homes for the Elderly in the Rural Areas.
