After entering the twenty-first century, with the continuous progress of science and technology, China’s demand for knowledge workers is increasing. Pluralistic society on the face of people’s quality requirements, the traditional teaching mode can not meet the needs of this era of teaching, it is necessary to reform the traditional teaching mode, and the introduction of some new teaching model to blend the traditional teaching model. Elective course in college basketball reasonable heuristic teaching model is introduced, aimed at the advantages of traditional teaching tradition in the teachings of the constructivist theory views the introduction of Physical Education among studies, the organic integration of the two together, able to train students in the teaching process of consciousness, improve student motivation, self-awareness; issues analytical and problem-solving skills training through heuristic teaching. In the teaching process, inspiring interest in learning, cooperative learning culture awareness among students and improve their interpersonal and self-learn some skills.This research is a heuristic teaching mode introduced to college basketball elective teaching, the use of the experimental method, literature, questionnaires, statistics and other methods. Research on the physical impact of special students basic skills of basketball and its impact on students psychological indicators of these three aspects of study in college basketball elective Heuristic teaching. Meanwhile, the analysis of the advantages and shortcomings in teaching and how to combine the traditional teaching model. Educators give sports reference in the study of teaching mode.
