Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region the first has carried out the senior high school new curriculum reform, beginning in the fall of2004,for10years. Experiment is the core basis in physics teaching. It is not only to realize physics course goal, but also the important way to improve students’ scientific quality. After10years, what about the physics teaching? How about the physical experiment? Can the experimental realize curriculum standards? What are the problems during the experiment? What is standard of teachers evaluate students experimental level? It is very necessary to investigate, analyze and study the Yinchuan high school physics experiment teaching present situation, to make these problems.By the form of literature, questionnaire, interview and logical analysis, this article studies the Yinchuan high school physics experiment teaching present situation, finds out the problems, and proposes strategies. The object of investigation is the physics teachers and the students form Yinchuan five different teaching levels of high schools. From the perspective of teachers, based on investigating the out rates and the problems of the23experiments in the1st compulsory module book of physics of senior high school,interviewing teachers and listening to physics experiment course, combined with investigation physics experiment learning situation of high school students, the study revealed that (1)out rate of exploration experiment is highest,but not according to the requirements of the exploration, and it is students favorite type of experiment.(2)out rate of demonstration experiment is second, part of the demonstration experiments have been changed into the video demonstration. When teacher is doing the experiment, the majority of students observe the experiment phenomenon seriously.(3) Out rate of small experiment is very low, and have not received its deserved status. The main problems are (1) the low opening up of physics laboratory and lack of experimental equipment (2)the low quality of the teacher(3)many exploration experiments have been changed into demonstration experiments.(4) the single experimental teaching mode(5)the insufficient of education evaluation system. The last in order to solve these mentioned problems, the paper put forward available reform strategies from the departments of education management,schools, teachers, the experimental teaching method and the experimental teaching evaluation five aspects. At the same time, the present study raised different experimental teaching cases, in order to help the senior high school physics experiment teaching reform in China.
