In recent years, a strong conclusion has been confirmed that high quality of Chinese classroom teaching comes from high efficiency of Chinese teaching content. As the main genre of high school Chinese textbook, the efficiency of modern prose teaching content has a direct impaction on quality of language classroom teaching and language accomplishment of high school students. Thus, it will has positive significance to improve the effectiveness of modern prose to constructing a scientific and effective index system of modern prose teaching content of high school and makes the index system fully plays its function of orientation, description, prediction. The research will place valuation theory and methods of modern prose teaching content of high school on core of discussion.
