The Research Of The Problem Teaching Method In Primary English Teaching

English teachers are influenced by the thoughts of "exam-oriented education" for a long time.They stress the importance of English knowledge and students’score not the students’development.The content and method of English teaching is too boring to attract student’s interest."Interest is the best teacher",Primary English curriculum standards also say "teacher should pay attention to stimulate and cultivate students’ interest ".However,traditional method of English teaching just let students be afraid of English not like it. In order to change the "embarrassing situation ", After watching course radio and combining with her internship,the author put forward a new idea:using the teaching method based on problems. Teaching method based on problems regards problems as center, teachers make good use of kinds of recourses to create a proper environment, stimulate students think deeply and lead students to discuss, and then put forward more questions. It stresses the importance of students and cultivate students’ interest,what’s more,it also encourages student to cooperates with others and teaches them how to learn.Therefore,it has great meaning when we apply teaching method based on problems to primary English teaching.The dissertation analyze the teaching method based on problems’definition、 characters theoretical foundation and its relation with other theories.Then the author put forward the necessity and feasibility of the teaching method based on problems by analyzing Primary English curriculum standards the current situation of primary school. Besides exploration about theory, the dissertation also put forward the particular connotation which carry out the problem teaching method in primary school and propose some attentions and advices which the teachers should think of. To take good use of the teaching method, the dissertation also analyses the part which students and teachers should play.
