The middle-school time is a key period for a person to form the views about life, values, and moral fiber. The present middle school students are a generation brought up with the company of videos. Their life is closely related with videos and their ideology is much influenced by videos. This thesis is to study the influence of videos on the middle school students to explore the way of how to take advantage of the beneficial influence of videos on building the moral fiber of the middle school students so as to intensify the influence and appeal of moral education in middle schools.It is expected that the theoretical study can provide realistic usage about how to make use of video resource and display the positive effects of it. Based on that, this thesis will focus on the following three aspects:Firstly, the video resource and its positive effects on the development of middle school students. In this part, a thorough theoretical analysis has been carried out about the characteristics of videos which are an integrated art and about the positive influences on the development of middle school students, which formulates a foundation for the video resource to constitute a part in moral education.Secondly, videos are an important potential resource to be developed in moral education in middle schools. It mainly elaborates from three aspects:the moral education resources in videos, the experiences of schools in employing these resources, and principles which should be obeyed when employing video resources. Firstly, we reveal the rich elements of moral education in video resources, then from the historical perspective, we comb the experiences some middle schools have accumulated in this respect. At last, we raise the basic principles when employing video resources so that moral education can be carried out in a correct direction.Thirdly, the specific strategies that middle school should adopt in making use of video resources. Based on the school present situation, this part elaborates how to develop video-resource course and video resources can be effectively integrated into politics-ideology teaching, and into the work of head teacher, communist youth league, student union, the construction of campus culture as well as family education, which can form a integrated educational power to promote the healthful development of middle school students.
