Generative teaching is an important teaching philosophy and innovative teaching methods in the process of the current curriculum reform of basic education. Curriculum reform is the survival of the soil that helps generative teaching ideas develop and mature. The emergence of Generative teaching philosophy brought a hint of green to the current curriculum reform. The traditional teaching concept is not adapted to the current teaching. As a practitioner education forefront, teacher will have to meet the major challenges of generative teaching.Generative teaching pays attention to student’s life growth, the growth and development of students cannot do without the guidance of teachers. Teachers play a crucial role in teaching. The complexity and unpredictability of generative teaching requires teachers have corresponding quality to cope with the changing classroom. The role of teachers in generative teaching should be:text mining resources; generating resources reorganization; the teaching situation of Creator; practitioners of teaching wisdom; the leader in development of students. Teachers should grasp the essence of the role and achieve conversion of the role effectively.Many teachers of the generative teaching research is not enough that made they achieve the role failed. Teacher’s false generation, random generation and tied type generated behavior in the teaching, which make teacher become the control of teaching process, teaching target and deviations from the teaching process of excessive predisposition. It is caused by the teacher does not have the correct teaching concepts, lack of ability and the system constraints. First of all, teachers should have the awareness of resource capture. Enhance the ability of guiding teaching generation. Improve the wisdom of deal with the generative teaching. Secondly, strengthen the teachers’ awareness of their role and understand their responsibilities. Finally, the school and the society should also provide some supports for teachers to remodeling of the role.Generative teaching concerns the intrinsic value of teaching process, whose essence is making the subjectivity of teaching returned. Namely, the essence of teaching should care the life development of teachers and students. As long as the basis of understanding the connotation of the generative teaching fully, teachers can grasp the roles well in the generative teaching, carry out the generative teaching’s ideas into practice, and promote the teachers’ Professional development constantly.
